Game Prop references

I plan on making a medieval dungeon for a level so having a lot of different weapons is a good way to have an easily reproduced prop that will be able to take up space in the level.

For my easy prop, i am going to make a mace, which is a lot of basic geometry that will have to be fit together. The challenge will come from texturing where the metal of the different pieces of the mace will have to look different and have different shines.

For my medium prop, I am going to make a sword, which is going harder since i will have to use more curves and the texturing will be harder since the surface isn't perfect, and it is slightly rounded.

For my hard object, I am going to make a Battle ax, which will be a lot of work with curves to get a good clean shape that looks like an ax. I also want to use some better textures for it and make it look engraved.

week 4 Textured and simple lighting

Here is my textured and simply lit room. I decided to go with a simple house feeling that could be found on a hilltop. The beige colors give the room a calming feeling and make the room feel alive. I may go back and tone down the reflection on the floor by I am still debating if it would make it look better or worse. I plan on toning down the reflection in the window because I want to put an image in the background and not just have the reflection of the room.
